Barton Creek Quality of Life

There is no question that Terra Guidance values Quality of Life for our team members and clients alike, even in a recession. We can’t forecast what is in store for our industry or the global market, so we are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. TG’s CEO recently sent an internal email in which he encouraged employees to, “…be financially conservative and err on the side of caution.” While we are encouraging it internally, we thought sharing some tips would be a mindful thing to do. Here are some useful little reads that show you where you can cut back and make the necessary changes.

It seems in order to save the most money one would want to stay at home.  If you don’t go out, you can’t spend money! WRONG! Unless you are a person of significant self-control, it’s very easy to open that UberEATS app to grab a ‘small bite’ or rent a movie on Apple TV because it’s just 99 cents.  These add up financially and are doing nothing for your mental health. On the other hand, a walk in the park with the dog costs nothing except a poop bag.  Even simple cardiovascular exercise like walking changes the brain to improve memory and thinking skills. It can keep you mentally on point to handle whatever decisions that come your way.

Perhaps we can take this time of economic downturn to reunite ourselves with nature and learn to re-appreciate all that beauty that surrounds us. Acknowledging the Quality of Life around us…even during a recession.
