Drew Safigan is the Team Anchor for Bravo.  He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2009 with a B.S. in Geology.  He was a TA while attending graduate school before joining onsite mudlogging for Weatherford International.  During his three and a half years well logging he gained experience in XRF, XRD and SRA analysis of drill cuttings in the Newark East Field, Greater Green River Field and the Denver Julesburg Basin.  He has logged horizontal wells in the Barnett Shale play in Denton and Montague Counties Texas, the Austin Chalk-Eagle Ford Shale-Buda Limestone in Frio, and Gonzales County Texas, the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale in Tangipahoa Parish Louisiana.  Some formations he is familiar with are the Barnett Shale, Eagle Ford Shale, Austin Chalk, Buda Limestone, Niobrara, Spraberry Sandstone, Wolfcamp Limestone, Tuscaloosa Marine Shale, Verdigris, as well as the Mississippian Unconformity in Southern Kansas.  He left onsite and began remote steering in September of 2014.  He began geosteering for Terra Guidance in October of 2018 and couldn’t be happier.  He has steered 228 wells in the Permian and DJ basin while working with Terra Guidance.

 

Drew lives just outside Fort Worth, TX.  In his spare time away from work, he enjoys fishing with his wife on their kayaks, going to the gym, mountain bike riding, disc golfing, golfing, smoking meats and eating food, and hanging out with his wife and family (Jack the cat and Bindi the dog).  They occasionally enjoy traveling west to play in the snow.
